How does the NFD19 app work?

IPSE is proud to announce the launch of our event app, National Freelancers Day 2019.

 

This digital platform has revolutionised the event, as you are able to check out the agenda, book into your chosen sessions, view resources and get full access to network with attendees before the day. The app is simple to navigate and easy to use.

 

On the day, the app will have live updates and announcements to keep you informed of how the day will run.

 

To make your life a little easier, we have anticipated some questions you may ask:

 

How do I download the app?

Search ‘National Freelancers Day 2019’ in your Android or Apple App store, or by visiting on a website or desktop here. The paraphrase you will need to access is ‘IPSENFD19’

 

What do I do once the app is downloaded?

Once you have downloaded National Freelancers Day 2019, you will need to sign up and set up your profile, using the email address that you registered your tickets with. (If you have forgotten what email you used, please contact marketingreply@ipse.co.uk).

 

Next, you will then need to select ‘Search for an event’ and find National Freelancers Day, taking place in London.

 

Select ‘Join now’ and use the code ‘IPSENFD19’ for access.

 

You’re all downloaded!

Now that you have the app downloaded, take your time to familiarise yourself with all its resources; the agenda, speakers, sponsors, key streams and so much more.

 

Get booking

Now that you have familiarised yourself with the app, you will need to tailor your agenda for the day. This is simple but it can be easy to double book sessions per time slot, please note that you must only have ONE SESSION PER TIME SLOT. Due to limited availability per session, we cannot emphasise this enough.

 

How to book your sessions

In the app there is a tab named ‘Agenda’, by clicking this it will open your screen up to the schedule for the day, with the timings on the left that you will need to consider before booking.

 

At the top of the page there are two buttons: ‘Agenda’ and ‘My Agenda’.

In the tab ‘Agenda’ you will have the chance to book your slot by clicking into the session itself and clicking the ‘+’ button in the top right-hand corner.

 

Once successfully added, the ‘+’ icon by the session will turn into a tick and the session will be visible for you in your ‘My Agenda’ tab.

 

How to cancel sessions

Cancelling sessions is simple, in your ‘My Agenda’ tab seek the session you no longer wish to attend and click the tick on the right-hand side. This will take the session out of your agenda and allow another person to book the space.

 

How does the ‘shake to connect’ work?

This feature on the platform will only work within proximity to another user. Both people who wish to exchange details must click in the ‘shake’ tab and shake their phones next to each other. Once this is done, both parties’ details will be swapped. Details will be saved in the ‘Connections’ tab and you will have access to chat to them in app under the tab ‘chat’.
