In 2015 The IPSE Awards Team received a huge number of fantastic, inspiring applications proving the value and diversity of freelancers across the UK. We were overwhelmed with the quality of applications received.

Ten applications were selected for the Inspire Award, which recognises excellence displayed by established freelancers on the basis of the quality of their work, the range and profile of their clients, their online presence, and the overall success of their business.

There were five finalists for the Aspire award, for freelancing superstars of the future. Applications for the Aspire Award were open to independent professionals aged 23 and under, and applicants included university students, full-time freelancers and young people balancing employment with their own businesses on top.

Freelancers from a whole host of sectors applied and judges looked for a passion for freelancing and a solid understanding of running a business. The winners of the Inspire and Aspire category were announced at National Freelancer’s Day on 12 November 2015.
