National Freelancers Day 2017
Join us for the 9th annual National Freelancers Day (NFD) on Thursday 8 June 2017, at King’s Place, central London (conveniently located right next to King’s Cross station). We’ll be celebrating the most enterprising types of business: the UK’s 2 million independent professionals. There’s something for you whatever your industry – whether you’re a student designer with two weeks’ experience or a veteran engineer with twenty years.
The day includes masterclasses, seminars and workshops on how to win work, setting and maximising your rates, working globally in a post-Brexit world – and much more besides. There’ll be a panel session too, with previous IPSE Awards winners and freelancing champions sharing some key insights.
Full programme and timings.
Supporting you at every step
IPSE is on hand to make your professional life easier. NFD is all about giving you the knowledge and the tools you need to set up in business, keep your books in order and quickly find new contracts. We’ll help you navigate a complex tax landscape and answer your legal questions.
How it works
We’ll be joined by a stellar panel of freelancing experts from globally recognised brands, who’ll be sharing top tips and advice in a series of sessions throughout the day. You can pick and choose the ones that suit you, and in between there’s time for drinks and networking.
IPSE - The membership body for you
We're the voice of independent professionals in the UK. All 2 million of you. We make sure freelancers, interim managers, consultants and contractors are represented to Government. By producing insightful, hard-hitting research and effective policy campaigns, we fight for better legislation to help the self-employed run their businesses and ultimately, ensure our economy remains one of the most flexible in the world.
Our recent policy work has been some of the most significant in IPSE's history, with repeat visits to Downing Street and our flagship Policy Conference attracting key decision-makers from Westminster and beyond.
We're also here to give our members the help they need to run their businesses with peace of mind. IPSE members have access to legal advice, cover for sickness and many of the benefits employees receive. We work with partner organisations to offer our members best in class services so they can spend more time running their business.
